The Bloomy EFT Module for TestStand provides out-of-the-box tools to speed up development of automated tests for electronic assemblies including PCBAs, subassemblies and final assemblies. EFT stands for Electronics Functional Test. Test engineers can develop, deploy and execute test sequences quickly and efficiently with minimal custom code development for a shorter time-to-solution.
 

Built on NI LabVIEW and TestStand software, the EFT module includes components for hardware and measurement abstraction, operator interface, database connectivity, and other architectural components. Key benefits of the tool include:

Includes:

  1. User-friendly OI for Production line test systems
  2. More advanced OI than the out-of-box OI that ships with TestStand

Hardware Access Framework (HAF)

Includes:
  1. Defines a Hardware Abstraction Layer and Measurement Abstraction Layer for your test system
  2. Allows user to create devices, signals and connections that define the I/O connectivity of the test system
  3. Take advantage of the Batch/Parallel process models of TestStand by using the “Group” parameter
  4. Enjoy access to included device drivers – less code to write.  Includes NI DMM, Switch, DAQ, PSU, Eload, SMU and many more!
  5.  Define Comms Devices and Comms Messages – easily setup communications to devices without having to write more code.  Examples of such devices include barcode scanners, Power supplies, Hi-pot testers, custom DUT interfaces, and more.
  6. Driver templates – device not already supported?  No fear, start with one of the LabVIEW driver templates to build your own device driver.
  7. TestStand step types – use the custom step types to easily develop your test sequence by utilising the HAF.

License Types

The EFT Module for TestStand has two license types: Developer License US$3,995 per developer (~AU$6,150 ex GST) Use EFT Tools, including the Hardware Access Framework, to create and modify TestStand sequences. Requires NI TestStand Developer or Debug Deployment License. Deployment License* Execute tests using the Manufacturing Operator Interface, log results using the SQL Database Plugin. Required for executing tests that implement the Hardware Access Framework. * Each purchased copy of the EFT Module Developer License includes a Deployment License at no extra cost. This license can be deployed on any number of machines within the same facility. Wired-in Software is the distributor of the Bloomy EFT Module for TestStand in Australia and New Zealand.  If you are not in one of these countries, we recommend contacting Bloomy directly for purchasing.
