Covid-19 RAT Testing
The Challenge:
Ellume Health approached Wired-in Software in September 2020 to help develop a large scale automated testing program of Ellume Health’s range of high end COVID-19 Rapid Antigen testing products. Ellume had a number of product types and variants, and planned a testing strategy that included a mix of manual and fully automated test approaches. Ellume setup a large manufacturing arrangement with the US Government in 2021, requiring a large facility to produce very high quantities to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Solution:
Wired-in Software proposed a NI TestStand based architecture, that used TestStand to manage the parallel testing ability, data reporting, user management and then leaned on LabVIEW and DQMH to develop a custom operator interface and a custom communications driver package to communicate with the RAT via Serial or Bluetooth. NI Systemlink was also an important module, which provided the test system with test setup information, and then the test results data would be sent back to Systemlink.
